Wola. Despite the enemy's pressure, the insurgents hold the positions at Okopowa Street, in the vicinity of the cemeteries and Stawki Street..

Ochota. The RONA troops carry out a pacification of the district. "Wawelska Redoubt" is still repelling the enemy's attacks.
The last combat groups are leaving Ochota. The squad commanded by Lieutenant Andrzej Chyczewski "Gustaw" gets through to the Chojnów Forest, while the group of Second Lieutenant Jerzy Gołębiowski "Stach" makes its way through the sewers to Śródmieście. But not all of them - a few, including the commander, lose their way and die, getting across to the German side.

The "Chrobry II" group captures the Haberbusch breweries between Grzybowska and Krochmalna Streets.

The insurgents strengthen their positions from Aleje Ujazdowskie to Książęca Street.

In Powiśle, the troops under the command of Captain "Krybar" also reinforce their positions. They successfully recapture the outposts on Karowa Street and secure incinerated Staszica Square from the direction of Kopernika Street.
A systematic shelling of the Warsaw Power Plant, which constantly supplies the city with electricity, is continued.

Śródmieście. On the night of August 9 and 10 British planes appear over Śródmieście, Mokotów and Kampinos. They carry out successful drops of weaponry and ammunition.

The Germans issue an ultimatum to the Warsaw population: they urge the civilians to leave the city. The leaflets with the ultimatum are dropped from planes.

The British radio broadcasts a few warnings in German and other languages, stating that all military and civilian individuals ordering to or committing criminal acts against Polish soldiers and civilian population that are repugnant to the international law shall be severely punished by the Allies.

The American Armored Division captures Nantes on the River Loire.
