from the "Chrobry II" grouping was killed
who during the Warsaw Uprising

Honoured his memory!
Above one can see the photograph of the fallen boy, taken by the Home Army Headquarters' Public Information and Propaganda film-makers.
Here one can listen to the YouTube song "White Eagle" "Orzeł Biały" dedicated to the young insurgent. e.
The piece of information given on the plaque is not precisive. "White Eagle" was killed several hundred metres further away, in Ciepła street next to Krochmalna street. His friends took care of his dead body.
He was then buried on the yard of 3 Ceglana street, nearby the place where the plaque is situated. The building is non-existing as on its site now stands a high-rise block.
The corpse of Wojtuś was never found after the WW II. On July 31, 2020 on the Powązki Military Cemetery a monument inspired by the "Warsaw Pieta" photograph was unveiled in the place of a symbolic boy's grave, i.e. A 25, row 10, grave 21.
