79 Solec street - Solec

The mural painting was performed on the rear wall of the building adjoining the property nearby the building of 79 Solec street.
On the painting there is an inscription: 63 dni chwały (63 days of glory) with the Fighting Poland anchor integrated into the whole composition. In the background one can see the painted scenes showing the lighting insurgents. These were created on the basis of original photographs from the Warsaw Uprising. At the bottom of the painting, on its right side there is an inscription: Pamiętamy (We remember).
In this area the Home Army group "Konrad" started fights on August 1, 1944, attacking the Poniatowski bridge. Two memorial plaques placed in the neighbourhood inform about that.
