57 Wólczyńska street - Bielany

This mural was painted on the blind wall of a one-floor-building in 57 Wólczyńska from the side of the Gotycka street. The supporters of Legia football club are its authors.
In the middle of the mural there is the figure of a little insurgent, based on the Little Insurgent monument situated in the Old Town, i.e. Podwale street nearby W±ski Dunaj street. Behind that one can see the red-coloured Fighting Poland anchor and the ruins of Warsaw besides.
At the bottom of the mural there are armed insurgents, whereas on the left there is an inscription: Warszawa '44 (Warsaw 1944), and on the right an inscription: PAMIĘTAMY (WE REMEMBER).
During the Warsaw Uprising 1944 in this region the Home Army soldiers of the "Żywiciel" unit were fighting. This was also the way of the insurgents from the Kampinos Woods coming to help those who had participated in the unsuccessful attack at the Gdański Railway Station on August 20 and 22, 1944.
