The photo report of participation of SPPW 1944 members in the celebration of the 77th Warsaw Uprising anniversary - 2021

          In keeping with the long standing tradition members of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising Remembrance Association participated in the most important events connected with the celebration of the 77th Warsaw Uprising anniversary. They laid wreaths or bunches of flowers in several ceremony places.
          On July 29, the Association Board member Mr. Piotr Śmiłowicz participated in the solemnity of laying the foundation stone for the Memory Hall by the Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery in the Wola district.




          On July 31, Our Association Chairman Mr. Maciej Białecki, the Vice-Chairman Mrs. Barbara Rumianek and the Association Board Member Mrs. Iwona Rusek participated in the solemnity in the Krasiński Square.
          On August 1, the Association Board members Mrs. Iwona Rusek and Mr. Piotr Śmiłowicz laid bunches of flowers by the monument "Fighting Mokotów 1944",




          by the memorial monument of the fallen Home Army soldiers" in the Dworkowa street,




          by the monument of General Stefan Rowecki a.k.a. "Grot",



          and by the monument of the Polish Underground State and the Home Army.



          In the evening of August 1, the Chairman Mr. Maciej Białecki, the Vice-Chairman Mrs. Maria Poprawa and the Association Board member Mr. Piotr Śmiłowicz participated in the ceremony at the Warsaw Insurgents' Cemetery in Wola district.





          On August 4, Mr. Maciej Białecki, Mrs. Maria Poprawa and the Association Treasurer Mr. Franciszek Cepek took part in the event of unveiling the plaque dedicated to the Youngest Warsaw Uprising Soldiers.
          On August 5, Mrs. Maria Poprawa laid a bunch of flowers by the plaque commemorating acquiring the "Gęsiówka" concentration camp by the "Zośka" battalion. That afternoon Mr. Maciej Białecki took part in ceremonies by the monument of the Wola Manslaughter's Casualties, and then participated in the march to the Warsaw Insurgents' Cemetery.
          On August 13, Mr. Franciszek Cepek and Mrs. Krystyna Grzelak participated in the ceremony at the place of the tank explosion in the Kiliński street.
          2On August 22 Mr. Piotr Śmiłowicz laid a bunch of flowers by the plaque in the "Polonia" stadium.



          On October 2, Mrs. Maria Poprawa participated in the celebrity of unveiling the monument "For the Women of the Warsaw Uprising" in the Krasiński Square. That afternoon the Association Board Minuter Mrs. Ewa Furmańska took part in the final event of this year's ceremonies, i.e. the one in the Dreszer Park.

          As each year, Ms. Monika Ałasa, the SPPW 1944 Association member, came to Warsaw from Lublin. From July 31 till August 2 she participated in several anniversary events: by the Warsaw Uprising Monument in the Krasiński Square, at the Military Powązki Cemetery, as well as on the Żoliborz insurgent memory route. Moreover, she honoured the following memory places: in Anielewicz street, by the plaque commemorating acquiring the "Gęsiówka" concentration camp by the "Zośka" battalion, and in Kiliński street, at the place of the tank explosion.
          Ms. Monika traditionally attended a moving concert "Warsaw people sing (not) forbidden songs" in the Freedom Park at the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
