Cet événement a été soutenu par le président du quartier de Wola.<br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;C était la première exposition consacrée au Massacre de Wola lors de l Insurrection de Varsovie depuis 64 ans. Maison par maison, rue par rue, ont assassiné hommes, femmes, petites enfants, femmes enceintes, malades et handicapés. Il n avait pas de miséricorde. Apres l exécution, les massacreurs incendiaient les maisons quittées. Pendant quelques jours de l août, les Allemands ont tué 50 000 habitants de Wola qui ne pouvaient pas se défendre. C est deux fois plus que le nombre des victimes du Massacre de KatyD.<br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;L exposition qui a rompu le silence durant plus de 60 ans, est composée de trois parties : attaque allemande de la Pologne en 1939, occupation allemande de Varsovie, notamment occupation de Wola, et l Insurrection de Varsovie de 1944 avec une extermination collective incomparable des civils du quartier de Wola.<br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;L exposition contient les documents soigneusement choisis: messages et ordres allemands, cartes, photographies des crimes hitlériennes, dépositions de témoins du Massacre de Wola ainsi que photographies des lieux de la martyrologie de Wola.<br> <br> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Quant au lieu de l exposition, le choix n était pas accidentel. L histoire de l église de Saint-Wojciech est inséparable de l histoire de Wola. Près de ce bâtiment, il y a avait le Champ d Election où on choisissait les rois de la Pologne. L église se trouve sur le terrain de la Redoute 56 constituant une partie de l Ecu de Wola défendant la capitale contre l ennemi attaquant Varsovie de l ouest. Ici, les soldats polonais défendaient la patrie contre les Suèdes, lors des Insurrections : de Ko[ciuszko, de Novembre et de Janvier. La messe a été célébrée à l intention des insurgés et civils massacrés lors du Massacre de Wola.
