The photo report of the exhibition by the National Bank of Poland entitled "9 weeks full of blood and glory. The Warsaw Uprising week by week" - August-October 2017.

On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising the National Bank of Poland created a commemorative coin entitled "The slaughter of Wola and Ochota".

Referring to that, the Warsaw department of the National Bank of Poland prepared the exhibition entitled "9 weeks full of blood and glory. The Warsaw Uprising week by week". It was situated in a main hall of the bank department in the 4 Warsaw Insurgents Square.

The exhibition consisted of the photo materials from the website of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising Remembrance Association, among the others from the section "Kalendarium Powstania", whose title was given to the whole exhibition.
I recommend to carefully read "Kalendarium Powstania" at the SPPW 1944 website.
Items borrowed from the Association of the Historic Group of "Radosław" unit like weapon, helmets, badges, cards, and the original white and red flag from one of barricades in the Żelazna street - were all used at the exhibition.
The building of pre-war Main Post Office (presently the National Bank of Poland) in the Napoleon Square (presently the Warsaw Insurgents Square) was the area of insurgent fights during the Warsaw Uprising.
Whoever is interested, should read three reports at the SPPW 1944 website written by Andrzej Danysz a.k.a. "Filozof", Janusz Hamerliński a.k.a. "Morski", Tadeusz Jarosz a.k.a. "Topacz" as well as the text "Scout Field Mail".

In the place of almost absolutely damaged building of the Main Post Office a new building was erected, based on the Project by Bohdan Pniewski. It was realized not sooner as in the 1970s.
The exhibition was solemnly opened on August 1, 2017 and could be visited till October 2, 2017. Adult and young people respectively explored it.

Some parts of the exhibition were devoted to the slaughter of Wola (Germans' deeds from the first days of the Uprising).

Articles concerning the fate of Wola are to be read at the SPPW 1944 website.

In glass showcases one could see the keepsakes from the Warsaw Uprising.

On October 3, 2017 in the National Bank of Poland headquarters there was the summary of this exhibition. Its participants were the Bank's employyes and invited guests, included people from the 1944 Warsaw Uprising Remembrance Association: Maciej Białecki and Maciej Janaszek-Seydlitz, as well as representatives of the Association of the Historic Group of "Radosław" unit.
During the meeting a honorary guest Prof. Tadeusz Jarosz a.k.a. "Topacz" who belonged to the Scouting Post shared his memories.

The atmosphere of the meeting was vry friendly. The management of the Bank announced willingness to continua cooperation with the SPPW 1944 in the sphere of spreading knowledge about the Warsaw Uprising.
