Zbigniew Galperyn,
born: 1929.05.18, Warsaw
rifleman, a soldier of Armia Krajowa (Home Army)
a.k.a. "Antek"
battalion "Chrobry I"

We encourage to read the war reminiscences of Zbigniew Galperyn (a.k.a. "Antek"), a soldier of Home Army (Armia Krajowa).
Born in Warsaw, he followed a similar path to the one many of his age had taken. The author of reminiscences began underground activity in the age of 13. Being 15 years old, he took part in the Warsaw Uprising in group formation "Chrobry". Having been seriously wounded in Simons Passage, he went through moments of terror in the one of the hospitals in the Old Town when the Germans took it.
For his soldier's deeds he was honoured with the Cross of Valour (Krzyz Walecznych) as one of the younger soldiers of Home Army.
